Server status XML feed

The Lord of the Rings is hot these days. First there were the amazing movies by Peter Jackson, now there is the MMORPG ‘The Shadows of Angmar’. Thousands of players are enjoying the great interpretation of Turbine to the world of Tolkien. Eriador was never as crowded. CodeMasters is the european operator of the game, Turbine handles the US players. For the first time in my life, I feel unlucky not to live in the USA.
I will not rant against CodeMasters here, as it has no point. I do have one issue I’m really not happy about. I’ve asked CodeMasters if there was any XML feed to show a gameserver’s status on my kinship website. They replied:
Please include “http://www.lotro-europe.com/server.php” in an iframe on your website.
As CodeMasters will not respond to my queries on a server status XML feed, I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands. I will just not accept an iframe on my website with their design on it. Not to mention the dreadfully slow website.
If you want to display server status on your website, you can read info from this XML feed. You will find the full server list there, with their online status (0 for offline, 1 for online). The feed will be updated every 5 minutes.
If you are going to use it, please leave a comment here with your website URL. A small “Powered by MueR.nl” would be also appreciated, but not required.

Hi,
I love the idea to be able to be able to show on-line status of the server without having to use the CM iframe variant.
However I am having some problems showing your “feed”
If I enter the url to a rss reader/viewer I get noting..
Only way I can see anything is to click the link and show it in my web browser.
Any chance of an example code to show it on a webpage?
It depends on the type of code you are looking for. I’ll write up a PHP example tomorrow for you.
